Furry fish

Deep in the sea lived a small, peculiar fish named Spot. Unlike other fish, Spot had a soft, furry coat. It was green and shiny like moss in the sunshine.

"Why do I have fur?" Spot often asked his mother.

"Because you are special," mother answered with a smile. But Spot was upset about being different. One day, a large, cold current appeared in the sea. All the fish shivered from the cold and huddled together to warm up. Except for Spot - his fur kept him warm.

"Hey! Do you know what?" shouted a little perch named Stick. "Spot's fur is like a warm blanket!"

Soon Spot found himself surrounded by fish who wanted to warm themselves against his soft, furry edge. There was also a big, shy crucian carp named Star, who had never dared to come talk to him before.

"Your fur is wonderful," Star whispered. "It's like the softest seaweed in the ocean."

Spot smiled. "Would you like to hear something funny? When I swim fast, my fur tickles!"

Everyone laughed, and soon the fish were taking turns telling funny stories. No one cared about the cold current anymore.

From that day on, Spot no longer worried about being different. His fur wasn't a strange thing - it was a gift that brought warmth and joy to all his friends.

"Mother," Spot said in the evening, "now I know why I have fur."

"Why?" his mother asked with a smile.

"Because the best things in the sea are those that can be shared with friends."
