The Stork Eats a Boot

Once upon a time, there was a stork named Henry the Stork. Henry lived on Peculiar Pond, where frogs could sing and the water was sometimes green, sometimes pink.
On one of the silliest days, Henry saw something strange by the pond. It was a big, red rubber boot!
"Well, well!" Henry chirped. "I've never seen a tadpole like that before!"
Henry crept closer to the rubber boot. He stretched out his long beak and - SNAP! - caught the boot in his mouth.
"Hippity-hoppity!" Henry spluttered. "This is the toughest frog ever!"
But Henry was a determined stork. He swallowed and swallowed until the boot was completely in his stomach.
Suddenly something wonderful happened. Henry's legs began to bounce! The boot had started bouncing in his stomach.
"Oh my!" Henry exclaimed, jumping high into the air. "I'm the world's first bouncing stork!"
The other pond dwellers watched in amazement. The frogs sang: "Henry the Stork, strange bouncing bird, ate a boot and got a mighty hop!"
Henry laughed and bounced around the pond. He realized that eating the boot had made him special. Now he could peek into tall trees and see far to the horizon.
"Perhaps," Henry thought, "sometimes it's worth trying something new. Even if it isn't a frog!"
And so Henry the Stork continued his adventures on Peculiar Pond, always ready for new surprises and silly happenings.
